Progressive lenses: far, intermediate and near in a single lens

From age 40 to 45, near vision becomes less comfortable: this is presbyopia. Progressive lenses correct far, intermediate and near vision in a single lens with no visible line. A few days of adaptation are normal; if discomfort persists, come back with your glasses and prescription and we check the measurements and the correction.

Essilor and Ophtalmic, two French lens makers

Essilor invented the first Varilux progressive lens and the Crizal anti-reflective coatings. Ophtalmic is a Paris-region laboratory founded in 1986, whose Villepinte finishing workshop carries the "Origine France Garantie" label. Our opticians guide you to the right lens for your correction, your use and your budget.

Coatings and special lenses

Anti-reflective, scratch-resistant, blue-light filtering, thinned lenses for strong corrections, photochromic lenses that darken in the sun: lens coatings are guaranteed for 2 years against defects.

Measurements taken in store

Pupillary distance, fitting height, centring, frame tilt: these measurements determine the comfort of your lenses, especially progressives. They are taken in store, on the frame you have chosen.

FAQ: Progressive and corrective lenses

Do you make progressive lenses?

Yes. Progressive lenses correct far, intermediate and near vision in a single lens. We work with two French lens makers: Essilor, inventor of the first Varilux progressive lens, and Ophtalmic, a Paris-region laboratory with the "Origine France Garantie" label. Our opticians take precise measurements in store, and all our lenses come with an adaptation guarantee.

My new glasses don't suit me, what should I do?

A few days of adaptation are normal, especially with progressive lenses. If the discomfort persists, come back with your glasses and your prescription: all our lenses come with an adaptation guarantee, and we will check the measurements and the correction.

Do you make prescription sunglasses?

Yes, we make sunglasses with your correction, as well as photochromic lenses that darken in the sun. Your second pair can also be prescription sunglasses, free (see the conditions of the second-pair offer).

How long does it take to make my glasses?

Usually between 4 and 10 days, depending on the lenses chosen (progressive or special lenses take a little longer). Your optician will give you a precise lead time when you order and will let you know as soon as your glasses are ready.
